Our ‘HR for Managers’ suite of coaching modules is aimed at both new Managers (whether recruited externally or promoted internally) as part of their induction process, and also existing Managers who want to enhance their current skills and abilities

 

Each module is focussed on the key elements involved, and takes around 1½ to 2 hours to complete.

 

All modules are delivered on-line via Microsoft Teams (or other acceptable video conferencing facility).

 

BEING AN EFFECTIVE MANAGER / RESPONSIBILITIES OF A MANAGER

Covering the responsibilities that Managers need to have to be successful in the role, along with a number of points for Managers to be aware of, review, and refer to, as they go through their day-to-day role.

DEALING WITH MISCONDUCT, POOR PERFORMANCE, & GRIEVANCES

Covering a number of aspects in relation to dealing with misconduct (discipline), poor performance (capability) and grievances, covering the requirements of the law, the range of approaches available.

MANAGING ATTENDANCE / SICKNESS ABSENCE

 

Looking at the range of planned and unplanned absence types, and focussing particularly on the effective management of sickness absence. 

managing performance / developing people

 

Looking at the need for proactive performance management, describing appropriate performance management tools to develop and retain staff, and how Managers can help to develop their people.

dealing with conflict

Unresolved conflict costs organisations millions of pounds every year.  This module looks at best practice and approaches for when dealing with conflict.

Managing recruitment

Covering best practice and approaches when attracting, assessing, selecting and employing people.

Conducting Investigations

Detailing the process and approaches to ensure a full and fair investigation into workplace issues is conducted.
